Paris-Dauphine inaugurates its House of Public Affairs (HPA)
On October 5th, 2017, Dauphine launched the House of Public Affairs before an audience of public sector professionals, faculty, researchers, students, and concerned members of the business community (gathered for the occasion in the university’s Raymond Aron amphitheater).
The public sector is in profound mutation. To face the challenges and manage the changes, the public sector can count on Dauphine’s Organizational Science expertise and insight.
The House of Public Affairs, inaugurated on October 5th, 2017 aims to raise awareness and understanding of Public Affairs as a field and promote the university’s unique expertise by engaging in cross-disciplinary academic and research initiatives, and by building bridges between academics, the public sector and its stakeholders.
The inaugural activities went on throughout the day with lively discussions and debates that brought together students, faculty and members of all of Paris-Dauphine’s research centers.
The university’s multidisciplinary approach to research and teaching, its full-time and executive education academic programs built on real-world practice, its cutting-edge research in the social sciences, public administration, mathematics, digital decision support, economics, and public law, all make Paris-Dauphine a natural player in the Public Affairs arena.
The House of Public Affairs supports the university’s initiatives by encouraging and engaging in cross-disciplinary academic and research initiatives, and by building bridges between academics, the public sector, the business community, and civil society. It aims to establish Paris-Dauphine as a nexus for reflection in the field of Public Affairs.
