D-Start is recruiting its third cohort of Student Entrepreneurs
In January 2015, Université Paris-Dauphine launched D-START, our own Start-Up Sandbox. Its goal: promote entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial mind-set among the university's student body.
D-start is an innovative pre-incubation program designed to provide aspiring student entrepreneurs with support services and an environment conducive to developing their projects. D-start provides project leaders with a dedicated on-campus co-working hub, individual mentoring and advisory, a training program tailored to their needs, access to a network of experienced, engaged entrepreneurs and consultants, and support from the entire Dauphine eco-system: D-Incubator, Dauphine Alumni, and Dauphine faculty and staff.
Since its launch in January 2015, D-START has accompanied 2 cohorts of Student Entrepreneurs; and the Sandbox's 40 aspiring entrepreneurs have already launched 15 start-ups !
In September 2016, D-START launched a call for projects for its 3rd cohort of Student Entrepreneurs. The call is open to first year Bachelor's (L1) through second year Master's (M2) students. The deadline for applications is October 14th. Projects will be selected for pre-incubation by a panel of experienced Dauphine entrepreneurs, based on criteria of motivation and innovation.
D-START's 3rd cohort of Student Entrepreneurs will join the D-START family to become part of a driving force within the Dauphine community.
As of the 2016-17 academic year, D-START Student Entrepreneurs can qualify for the Dauphine Talents program. Dauphine Talents is a multidisciplinary Bachelor's program specially designed to accommodate students' artistic, athletic and entrepreneurial activities. The curriculum is identical to a standard Dauphine Bachelor's but the first two years of the Bachelor's degree are completed over 3 academic years instead of 2.
Two Student Entrepreneurs (Meet your Culture and OCO) have already taken advantage of the opportunity. Thanks to the program, they will be able to pursue their university studies while bringing their entrepreneurial projects to fruition !
