ORGANIZATION
ORGANIZATION x
  • Full-Time Study

Full-time CAR students complete their Master’s program over 2 academic years. We advise students who have completed Year 1 of the program to take an interim year before beginning Year 2, in order to gain real-world experience, refine their career projects, and strengthen their résumé. During their interim year, students can effectuate internships in France or abroad (minimum of 6 months), or complete a personal, professional, social, or humanitarian project.

  • Apprenticeship track
About one-third of CAR students opt for the Apprenticeship Track, either in Year 2 or for all 2 years of the program.

If you choose the Apprenticeship track for both years 1 and 2, we require that your professional assignment progress (evolve) between Year 1 and Year 2.

Apprenticeship Track students follow the same curriculum as Full-Time students, with the exception of certain elective courses.

The choice of companies and the function for which you will be apprenticing is fundamental. Both the company and your assignment must be officially approved by the Head of the CAR program.

To bring together students with their potential employers, the University organizes an annual Apprenticeship Forum. The Department also regularly relays employer offers to our future CAR apprentices. The CAR team maintains close ties with the DFCG, the French association of financial officers and business controllers, and with a network of engaged corporations that have been taking on our students for internships and apprenticeship contracts for many years now.

ALUMNI CAREER PATHS
ALUMNI CAREER PATHS x

François RATEAU, Director of Finance & Administration, Lemon Curve
CAR Master’s in Control, Governance, and Strategy Class of 2008
"Tomorrow’s Business Controllers will be key contributors to the policy-making and human aspects of their profession: […] Paris-Dauphine’s CAR program aims to change the image of “super accountant”, often attributed to business controllers, by providing a curriculum that includes the strategic, policy-making, and human dimensions of the profession."

Yann LECOIS, Director of Finance & Administration, Hispano Suiza
CAR Master’s in Control, Governance, and Strategy Class of 2000
"For me, the program’s DNA boils down to: pertinence, efficacy, and high added-value.
I graduated in 2000, and I can honestly say that every day brings me proof of the program’s added-value. Thanks to CAR’s broad-based curriculum, excellent faculty, and practice-oriented approach, students are trained to be business controllers who focus on performance analysis and value creation at all levels of an organization (Holding, Subsidiaries, Business Units, Production Facilities). […] I consider the program as a prerequisite for anyone whose goal is to reach the highest levels of responsibility in our profession."
