The Hygiene & Security department’s main mission is to advise the Dauphine community on all issues regarding hygiene, security and safety of persons, buildings, grounds and equipment and the environment.

The Hygiene & Security Engineer reports directly to the President of the university whom she assists and advises in defining and implementing the university’s H&S prevention policy. She is an ex-officio member of the Dauphine Committee for Hygiene & Security, of which she is also the secretary, and is responsible for the professional risk-prevention program in collaboration with the university physician and other members of the Dauphine community.

5 persons: one engineer, one technician and 4 in-house firemen

The Hygiene & Security Engineer :

• Evaluates risks, draws up and implements the annual risk-prevention program
• Plays a key role in prevention: training, information, managing dangerous waste….

The Hygiene & Security Technician:

• Assists the Hygiene & Security Engineer in leading, implementing and monitoring the risk prevention program
• Manages the Central Fire Prevention Unit

The in-house fire brigade:

• Oversees fire-prevention 
• Informs the Dauphine community on and raises awareness of fire safety and prevention issues
• Alerts the city Fire Department and receives incoming  fire fighters and emergency services
• Evacuates the public
• Takes action against fires
• Is responsible for the  fire-fighting control post.
