Objectifs

This programme corresponds to a Masters second year (ex-DESS) which gives students an advanced knowledge in IT (databases, data warehousing, new information technologies etc.) as well as an ability to model decision-making problems through the mastery of various operational research tools. The Decision Support Computing specialisation Masters aims to equip students with the skills to improve the functioning of organisations through the use of decision support computing tools and the application of a scientific approach. Therefore, it involves training professionals with a double skill in IT and decision support and offering, in these two fields, essential theoretical foundations, introducing the processes and tools currently used and illustrating their implementation in various contexts.

Stages

Placement of 5 months minimum in traditional training; apprenticeship: 4 weeks at university / 5 weeks in a company.

International

The placement may be carried out abroad.

Particularités

The Decision Support Computing specialisation is co-organised in the IT 3 unit (pôleinfo3) with two other specialisations ISNT (Information Systems and New Technologies) and ITO (Internet Technologies for Organisations). This enables Decision Support Computing Masters students to choose courses from the ISNT and ITO specialisations.
