Objectifs

Since 1981, the "Corporate finance and financial engineering" Masters 225 has trained 839 students to carry out finance professions at high levels of responsibility. It has achieved this objective by combining rigorous recruitment with an original teaching approach and combining the most recent developments in finance theory with the operationality of the teaching given by professionals holding the highest responsibilities in their profession. During this year, selected students will increase their knowledge of financial theory thanks to theory courses and will specialise within the context of taught courses. The four theory courses are concentrated over the period from October to February and their aim is to provide all students with the level corresponding to current knowledge in financial theory. The fourteen taught courses - financial, legal and tax-oriented - have an intentionally practical and applied focus. They are given by professionals and provide students with methodologies that can be used directly in financial professions. These academic courses are supplemented by strategic and financial consultancy projects, carried out in industrial and commercial companies, under the direct responsibility of members of the course team and by a six-month placement. Finally, the writing of a professional final dissertation, consisting of an empirical research paper, completes the programme.

Stages

Compulsory placement - abroad or in France - of a period of 3 to 6 months.

International

Since its creation, the Masters 225 has been very much open to the international dimension, both in relation to placements and the professions carried out at the end of the programme.

Particularités
