Objectifs
The objective of the professional ""Banking and finance"" Masters 224 is to provide a broad
body of knowledge and skills required for
jobs offered by banks, financial companies or investment companies.
Beyond this, its teaching prepares students for the professional practice of various finance specialisations
in industrial and commercial companies or entities providing
services related to accounting or financial information and to financial operations.
This programme is developed in cooperation with senior managers and executives in
financial and banking organisations. It keeps in close touch with the major developments in the professions concerned.
The focus of the programme enables all banking and financial activities to be covered,
but it more specifically places an emphasis on commercial banking, network banking
and financial and investment banking professions.
The quality of the practical training provided by numerous professionals, associated with a high level
of theoretical teaching, enables Masters 224 students to be quickly operational in
numerous professional activities related to banking, investment services and financial services in general.
Stages
The placement is compulsory. It lasts at least 3 months.
It is programmed to start from 2 May each year.
Many types of placement are acceptable so long as they provide students with professional experience in a bank, credit institution or investment company.
Also acceptable are placements in companies providing services related to financial operations, in accounting and financial auditing firms, and, more generally, placements in a company finance department.
The professional experience acquired in the placement is validated for 8 ECTS.
International
The length of the programme does not allow for a study period abroad;
undertaking a final placement abroad is strongly encouraged for its linguistic benefits
and for the work experience in a multicultural context that it provides.
