Master 1 : Mathematics & IT for the Decision and Organization Sciences MIDO
Mention : Modeling and Decision Mathematics (MMD)
Diplôme : Modeling and Decision Mathematics
Niveau de recrutement :L3
Objectifs
The first year of the Masters in Mathematics of Modelling and Decision comprises training over one year validating the attainment of 60 ECTS in applied mathematics geared towards tertiary sector activities, with a dual objective.
To consolidate the theoretical foundations of applied mathematics by presenting the most usual mathematical paradigms, using a core curriculum of 8 TUs in probability, optimisation, statistics, digital calculation and English. To prepare a specialisation during the second year through the choice of a block of 3 to 5 in-course TUs allowing for a coherent range (economics-finance, statistics, actuarial maths, stochastic and deterministic modelling). Training is completed by the choice of ""free"" TUs in mathematics and various disciplines not previously studied..
The aim of this first year is to consolidate knowledge of mathematics applied to the tertiary sector in order to prepare students to specialise in this domain during the second year. Many reorientations towards Masters specialities in the domain of management and/or economics are also possible.
Stages
Optional placement (minimum of 7 weeks).
International
Opportunity to spend one semester at a foreign partner university (Spain, Austria, Canada, United States).
