Objectifs
This pathway has a specific positioning within the programme range offered by Paris-Dauphine University in IT and Mathematics. It emphasizes the fundamental aspects of IT, Discrete Mathematics and Operational Research and Decision Support. In particular, in comparison with the MIAGE pathway, the aim of the MIRO pathway is to guide students towards IT research, alongside professional opportunities in Scientific Computing, Operational Research and Decision Support.
The Mathematics, IT, Operational Research pathway of the MIDO Masters aims to train professionals and researchers in fields closely linking IT and Mathematics. Emphasis is placed on mastering fundamental concepts enabling the student to address:
-the modelling of complex systems or situations,
-the use, adaptation and design of solution methods,
-the analysis and use of results, the integration of tools into organisations.
Stages
The placement lasts between 3 and 5 months from May to September. It is carried out in a university laboratory or in a company. It leads to a placement report and an oral defence.
International
The programme may take place in part abroad, under the ERASMUS agreement.
