With the exception of the free Teaching Units (TUs), all students take the same first year courses. In the first semester, there is one free TU to be chosen from three. In the second semester, there is one TU determined by whether the student is in pathway E or not.

First semester courses

Admission into pathway E 1st year takes place at the end of the first semester. Students who wish to apply for it must have chosen the "Political Philosophy and Economic History" free TU module in the first semester. The board for entry into pathway E selects candidates on the basis of their prior academic record, language tests and their first semester results.

Second Semester Courses

Out of a total of 600 hours (excluding stream E), the courses include:
Mathematics: 280 hours (46.7%)
IT: 160 hours (26.7%)
Economics: 80 hours (13.3 %)
English: 40 hours (6.6%)
Opening: 40 hours (6.6%)

The IT tools TU comprises three parts:
Internet tools (15 hours of classes and 15 hours of practicals)
OR-oriented Excel (3 hours of classes and 12 hours of practicals)
Basic databases - Access (3 hours of classes and 12 hours of practicals)

The two Second Modern Language TUs are inseparable.

An additional English class (2 x 20 hours) is organised for weak students. 

Access to DUMI2E 2nd year.

Four pathways are offered in the second year which lead to different licences (MI2E with Applied Mathematics specialisation for the Mathematics-Economics and Mathematics-IT pathways, MI2E with IT specialisation for the Mathematics-IT and IT pathways, and GEDESS with Applied Economics specialisation for the Mathematics-Economics and Economics pathways).
