Year L3 STCF is the beginning of a selective 3-year programme, with a clear vocational objective, combining general training with specialised knowledge.

Business placement (accounting, financial or other department) lasting 8 weeks, in June and July.

Exchanges during the second semester with various European universities.

The normal next step following this L3 year is the Masters CCA (accounting-control-audit). A student who has validated a GEDESS Licence, STCF pathway, is automatically admitted to M1 CCA. The student is also well prepared to begin any masters course with an emphasis on accounting or finance.

Two conditions must be met: validation of a French bac+2 diploma (university L2 , DUT, BTS) or a diploma recognised as equivalent, and successful completion of entrance exams for L3 STCF at Paris-Dauphine university. Paris-Dauphine University offers preparation classes for the L3 STCF entrance exams: ""prépa STCF"". Classes given cover accounting, legal and economic disciplines, as well as quantitative methods (maths-stats). Classes take place from the end of October to mid May, Monday to Thursday, in evening classes from 7pm - 9pm. For more details, refer to the attached pdf documents. As an indication, registration for the ""prépa STCF"" takes place in October and registration fees must be paid. The dates of the entrance exams for L3 STCF and their registration dates will be made available at the beginning of the 2007-08 academic year. Note: this registration to sit entrance exams - obligatory to be able to sit them - is separate from registration for the ""prépa STCF"". Attendance at preparation classes is not an essential requisite to register for the entrance exams: the ""prépa STCF"" should be understood as supplementary help, not in any way as an obligatory step.

Proceed to Masters CCA or other masters courses, in accordance with admission criteria.

This qualification prepares students for all masters courses and for all jobs with an emphasis on accounting or finance.
