Results of the 2013 Dauphine-Pluricité Dauphine Graduates Employment Survey

The fourth edition of the Université Paris-Dauphine Employment Survey was carried out in collaboration with Pluricité, a consulting group specialized in public policy assessment.

The survey measures employment rates for 2010 Master's 2 graduates.

In spite of the economic crisis, the 2012 master's 2 graduating class shows a high employment rate.

The Class of 2010's current employment rate ranges from 93% to 96% depending on the field of study.

The class's employment rate for a first job has increased to 98.1% compared to 97.7% for the class of 2009.

The survey highlights a number of positive points:

  • The 2013 survey response rate was 68.1%, representing 1,344 respondants.
  • As of December 1st 2012, Dauphine graduates' employment rate remains stable at a more-than-respectable 93.7%.
  • Dauphine graduates' employment conditions remain favorable: 81% have permanent employment contracts, 5% are entrepreneurs, top executives or members of an independent profession (accountants, consultants, auditors, lawyers..) and 89% are considered executives.
  • 85% of those surveyed consider that their job is consistent with their level of diploma.
  • On the remuneration front, as of December 1st 2012, the average annual gross income of those surveyed, including bonuses, was  € 42,899.
  • As of December 1st 2012, the average job search time for their current position was one month.
  • 88% of graduates are employed in the private sector; 12% in the public sector.

Nearly 9 out of 10 Dauphine graduates work in the private sector and more specifically in management and finance; 50% work in companies of over 1000 employees and 19% in companies with less that 50 employees.
