Procedure for exchange students only

If your institution has signed an exchange agreement with Université Paris-Dauphine and you have been selected to come here : 

1. Complete your “Learning Agreement”
Select the courses you will be taking at Université Paris-Dauphine with the help of your home institution academic advisor.

  • To create a learning agreement : use the course search engine to choose the courses you are interested in. When you have added all classes click on “creating your learning agreement”.  Click on “your learning agreement” and fill in your personal details. Do not forget to write down your password and login.
  • Once your draft learning agreement has been completed (even if it is just provisional), you need to send it to Dauphine’s International office, following the instructions which you are given online.
  • If you need to make changes at a later date, you can update your contract on the Dauphine Web site using your password.
  • You will receive email confirmation that will include practical information.

 

2. You must also download and complete the pre-enrolment form and send it by fax or mail to the International office at Dauphine.


3. Dauphine organises an intensive French language seminar for incoming students that begins in early September/February

These seminars are designed to help you obtain or refresh the language skills you will need to take notes, make presentations, participate in group projects, and write papers. To enrol in this preparatory programme (highly advised), Ouvre ce lien interne dans la fenêtre courantedownload and fill out the application form.
An assessment test will be held to place participating students in appropriate groups ­ elementary, upper elementary, intermediate, upper intermediate, advanced and upper advanced.

Practical information such as the date of the test, the beginning of the seminar and the location, can be found on Ouvre ce lien interne dans la fenêtre courantethe FLE page of the website. Enrolling in this seminar does not prevent you from choosing courses in French as a Foreign Language (Français Langue Etrangère, FLE) on your learning agreement. Please note : if you do sign up for FLE courses, you are allowed only one FLE course per semester on your contract.

 

4. Required Documents
You will need to obtain a number of documents before your arrival in France, which will be  necessary for government and university administrative procedures. These are :

  • A proof of health insurance (which is also required to obtain a Dauphine student card). This document will differ according to your nationality, so ask your home university what document you will need. For example, European Union students need a European Health Insurance Card, students from Quebec need an SE 401-Q-106, and all other students need an insurance certificate,
  • A valid passport. Make sure it is valid for the duration of your stay in France. An identity card is accepted for students from EU. 
  • A visa : request a long-stay student visa, which is valid for more than three months, at the French consulate or embassy in your home country (this is not required for students from the EU, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and Algeria).

Practical advice:
When you arrive, you will have to go through several administrative procedures (for a residence permit, accommodation and health insurance).
