Health insurance (for foreign students)

Medical insurance is mandatory for all students.

Enrolling :

When enrolling at the Université Paris Dauphine you need to supply a certificate of your insurance :

  • If you are European and live in a country of the European Union: the European health card or a temporary certificate can be obtained from your or your parents'health center. This card or certificate exempts you from subscribing to student health insurance, however you may subscribe to an additionnal complementary insurance for students.

  • If you come from Quebec you need to provide a SE 401-Q-106 form.
  • If you are from outside the European Union and younger than 28 years old, it is mandatory to subscribe to French medical and social insurance for students.
On arrival, you must subscribe to a public or private health insurance for foreigners, the certificate of which, translated into French, must
clearly specify medical expenses and the hospitalization covered. There should be no expense or fee restrictions mentioned.
The student healthcare centers offer a specific insurance for students not eligible for a student insurance, more information on this offer at LMDE center 601 click on :
    www.lmde.com

All students need an international insurance (for accidents and personal responsibility) and a health insurance both of which are compulsory to register at Dauphine.

Refunding :

Your insurance will enable you to benefit from the same social security system as the French students :

  • This insurance refunds 70% of your medical expenses and 40 to 60 % of the medicine,

For your first refunding, please deposit the following documents at the LMDE or SMEREP, complementary health centers :
