Formalities for foreign exchange students to Dauphine
If your institution has signed an exchange agreement with the Université Paris-Dauphine and you wish to come and study with us, please note:
1.You need to be selected by your university. Deadline : May, 15th
2.You must fill in the APPLICATION FORM :
- For the Winter semester and academic year 2014/2015, the application form can be downloaded from April 1st to May 31st
and SENT by POST, to the International office at Dauphine, deadline : June 15th. - Spring semester 2012/2013, the application form can be downloaded from September 1st to November 15th
and SENT by POST, to the International office at Dauphine, deadline : November 15th.
3. You must draw up your “Learning Agreement”
Taking into account the university calendar on arrival : establish a list of courses you will be following during your exchange program at the Université Paris-Dauphine in accordance with the authorities of your home institution.
- To create a learning agreement : To draw up your study contract, choose the list of courses you are interested in with your home institution: a search engine will guide you in your choice: click on « Learning agreement ». With an obtained password, you can proceed to the different steps and modify your learning agreement at will. Once your learning agreement project is established (even on a temporary basis) you must forward it to the International Relations Service at Paris-Dauphine after following the instructions given online.
- In case of modification afterwards, use the given password ;a new project will replace the previous one.
- A confirmation will be sent to you containing practical information.
4. Dauphine organizes an intensive French seminar for foreign exchange students during September and January. The University Paris-Dauphine offers foreign students a French course as a Foreign Language Seminar at the beginning of the 1st semester (SIS) or at the beginning of the 2nd semester (SIJ). This seminar will enable you to acquire or upgrade necessary linguistic skills for note-taking, presentations, public speaking, written syntheses of documents.

5. Documents to be provided
Before your departure, gather all the administrative papers and documents you will need once in France:
- The form necessary to prove your social welfare rights and to obtain the Dauphine student card differs according to your nationality, please check information from your home establishment. As a guideline only, students from the European Union need the European Health Insurance card, the SE 401-Q-106 form for students from Quebec or an Insurance Certificate in all other cases.
- 1 valid passport copy or valid identity card: the period of validity must equal the study period in France.
- 1 Visa copy : request a « student » visa for a long stay (more than 3 months) from the French Consulate-General in countries of origin (excepting the EU, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Algeria).
- 2 identity photos format 2x 2,5 cm
