French as a foreign language
The Université Paris-Dauphine has been hosting an increasingly large number of international students for many years. In order to facilitate the integration of these exchange students, we offer three types of FLE (French as a foreign language) courses :

I - The intensive FLE seminars
These seminars are fee-based. They take place at the beginning of each semester (September and January). They are open to all exchange students.
Intensive FLE Seminar in September (SIS)
- DATES : from Wednesday 4th to Friday 13th September 2013.
- HOURS : 30h classes - 4h a day (excepting Fridays; 3h), over 8 days
- ECTS Credits : 6
- FEES : 300 Euros (payable between 2nd and 3rd September 2013, Office P 033)
- SCHEDULE : Available soon
A graded test is compulsory, except for beginners and holders of a certification.
Intensive FLE Seminar in January (SIJ)
- DATES : from Tuesday 7th to Saturday 11th January 2014
- HOURS : 20h classes - 4h a day, over 5 days
- ECTS Credits : 3
- FEES : 200 Euros (payable between 7th and 8th January 2014, Office P033)
- SCHEDULE : Available soon
A graded test is compulsory, except for beginners and holders of a certification.
Inscription procedure
Fill in, print and send the inscription form in the APPLICATION FILE online in the "Intensive FLE Seminar" section.
II - Semestrial courses
These courses are exclusively reserved for foreign exchange student with Dauphine. They are free of charge and each of them gives the right to 6 ECTS credits.
We offer two types of courses :
- General courses : Learning French through grammar, vocabulary, morphosyntax and development of oral and written skills.
- Thematic courses : Learning French through culture, art, society, the press, literature, phonetics, the theater and the cinema.
1st semester
- DATES:
- Beginning : 23rd September 2013
- Finishing: 21st December 2013
- HOURS : 39h classes / 3h per week, over 13 weeks (including exam).
- ECTS Credits : 6 per course

2nd semester
- DATES :
- Beginning : 20th January 2014
- Finishing : 11th May 2014
- Holidays:
- From 24th February to 2nd March 2014
- From 14th April to 27th April 2014
- HOURS : 39h classes / 3h per week,over 13 weeks (including exam)
- ECTS Credits : 6 per course

Language and specialized cultural training courses
This course is organized by Odile CHALLE ( Lecturer-Researcher HDR in Language Sciences)and aims at mastering French for research work and a more rapid adaptation to academic requirements ( methodology, cultural aspects...).
The course takes the interests of the participants into account, notably concerning the following aims:
-presentation of a research topic, participating in a debate, defence of a thesis in front of a jury
-in-depth comprehension of classes and conferences
-analytical reading of specialized texts and terminology
-writing of academic documents(memoirs, theses, publications)
