Dauphine's Start-up and Intrapreneurship Support Specialist Certificate welcomes its second cohort of students!

How can we help project leaders make their start-ups a success while encouraging employees to launch new, innovative projects in-house? Dauphine Formation Continue & EPiGO's joint Start-up and Intrapreneurship Support Specialist Certificate (Certificat Accompagnateur de Startups et de Projets d'Intrapreneuriat) is a cutting-edge program designed to train professional start-up and intrapreneurship coaches.

Dauphine and EPiGO's joint Start-up and Intrapreneurship Support Specialist Certificate is now in its second year. In January 2017, a class of 10 professionals, half of them independent coaches and the other half professional in-house coaches from major French corporations (la MAAF, Orange, Total), successfully completed the course designed to train them in today's state-of-the-art tools and techniques in start-up support and advisory.

Today, despite a myriad of consulting firms and a wealth of start-up coaching services, 80% of project leaders never succeed in creating their company while 50% of those who do launch their business either abandon the project in its early stages or are not able to live on the income the start-up generates. On another level, big corporations find it increasingly difficult to foster and develop innovative projects in-house.

So, just how effective are current coaching, support and advisory services? Do they really help project leaders move forward in today's uncertain world where markets and practices are evolving at break-neck speed? Clearly, we need to take a new approach to the question. That is just what Dauphine and EPiGO did in creating the Start-up and Intrapreneurship Support Specialist Certificate.

An one-of-a-kind program in France

The Start-up and Intrapreneurship Support Specialist Certificate is the only one of its kind in France. With its innovative approach to teaching, the program is organized around three focus areas:

  • Start-up business models: designing, choosing, and testing a business model
  • Human resources: how to build and increase team unity – an essential stepping stone to success
  • Creativity techniques: how to encourage and boost disruptive innovation

The 11 day program, spread over 3 to 4 months, provides participants with a complete, state-of-the-art skill-set for coaching start-ups and intrapreneurship initiatives.
